Calvin has served in the US Army Reserve for 5 years.
He is a graduate of the University of Louisville, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. He is currently in his final semester of the Master’s program at UofL, working on his MA in Political Science.
He works part-time at the airport while interning at Kentucky Refugee Ministries, where he assists migrants with finding employment and assimilating into American society.
Calvin occasionally volunteers for and donates to a local nonprofit known as the South End Street Angels, which works closely with homeless and vulnerable individuals in our community.
Additionally, he had a brief stint working in Councilman Rick Blackwell’s office where he gained first-hand learning experience of how the Metro Government operates. He is a graduate of Pleasure Ridge Park High School. He played basketball at Trinity Baptist College (Jacksonville, FL) from 2012 – 2014.
He is a born-again Christian and a moderate conservative.
